CENTRO ECOTURÍSTICO LAS GUACAMAYAS

Un centro ecológico con 16 cabañas, localizado al frente de laReserva Natural de la Biosfera los Montes Azules en Marques de Comillas, Chiapas

El Centro las Guacamayas se encuentra a 252 Km. de Palenque, y se llega por la carretera Fronteriza del Sur de Palenque a Benemérito de las Américas, posteriormente se toma un desvío por una carretera de terracería de aproximadamente 36 Km., la distancia es de sólo tres horas desde la ciudad de Comitán. El centro turístico esta ubicado en la comunidad Reforma Agraria, en el Municipio de Marques de Comillas, en la región Selvática del Estado. Este centro turístico fue creado con la finalidad de preservar la especie de las aves “La Guacamaya Roja”.

El Centro Eco-turístico Las Guacamayas ha sido construido en completa armonía con el entorno natural que lo rodea y está administrado por una sociedad cooperativa indígena llamada “Ara Macao”, conformada por los integrantes de la comunidad de Reforma Agraria y con el apoyo financiero de la Secretaria de Turismo del gobierno de Chiapas y del Fondo Nacional de Apoyo a las Empresas en Solidaridad.

El centro es ideal para los amantes de la naturaleza y aquí es posible practicar la observación de aves en su estado silvestre, hacer senderismo por la selva, explorar una flora y fauna única para esta región, hacer paseos en lancha en los ríos Lacantún y Tzeldales y disfrutar del camping. Que decir de los grandiosos recorridos que se pueden hacer en esta hermosa reserva natural de mas de 1200 hectáreas de selva que da la oportunidad de conocer, en su hábitat natural, especies como el Mono Saraguato, La Guacamaya Roja, el Venado Cola Blanca, el Tucán y el Gavilán Nevado, entre otros.

La zona cuenta con un clima cálido húmedo con abundantes lluvias en verano y es habitado por el grupo étnico Chinanteco. Las gentes del ejido de Reforma Agraria vienen del Estado de Oaxaca, de la región de Chinantecas y hablan la lengua Chinanteca. Servicios turísticos ofrecidos:
